One of my longstanding clients is Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild, a wonderful arts and education facility in Pittsburgh. It has been so successful that they have opened additional locations in other cities. The Guild’s MCG Jazz Division is a unique and important part of the jazz arts scene, not just in Pittsburgh, but beyond through the reach of their recordings.
MCG Jazz’s mission is to preserve, present and promote jazz. It presents live performances of the masters of jazz in its world-class performance hall. Its recordings (several of which have received Grammy Awards) reach a national and international audience. Finally, through its educational programs they are able to have students attend the concerts at low or no cost to them, make artists available for master classes and provide opportunities for internships in production and marketing.
