I represent and have represented several folks who have done “reality television” shows. As long as they are consenting adults and understand the legal and personal consequences of the decision to appear in a show like that, I think it is just fine. However, I have a real problem when parents exploit their kids in this way. I think that shows like this diminish us all as human beings. American pop culture has been embraced by most of the world for decades. It is a real pity that this type of programming is becoming our latest export.
